Governor Josh Shapiro did what too many Democrats still refuse to do. He called out Zohran Mamdani and condemned the antisemitic rhetoric surrounding his campaign, including Mamdani’s refusal to denounce the violent, antisemitic slogan “globalize the intifada.”
Governor Shapiro's message was loud and clear:
“When supporters of yours say things that are blatantly antisemitic, you can’t leave room for that to just sit there. You’ve got to condemn that.”
This is the moral clarity the Jewish community has been waiting to hear.
We are grateful to Governor Shapiro for speaking out, and we urge every Democratic official follow his lead.
There must be zero tolerance for antisemitism in our politics, no matter which side or party it comes from.
